He has experience in both outpatient and inpatient practice, residential care, therapeutic group homes, working with children with disabilities, Assertive Community Treatment, and a former board member of the Disability Rights Coalition.

Dr. Tillemans has an extensive history of experience in the field of pharmaceutical research, has provided consulting and served on advisory boards for numerous pharmaceutical companies in the areas of psychiatric medications. He has been a sought after lecturer and trainer to doctors across the country for the past 20 years in the areas of ADHD, Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, and Schizophrenia. In these roles, Dr. Tillemans has advanced his experience and knowledge of modern psychopharmacology while incorporating it within his values for providing an atmosphere of education and collaboration with clients and therapists to provide an environment of empowerment for the individual in making informed decisions regarding the potential role of medication management.

Critical to this mission is spending the time to listen and understand the needs of clients, answer their questions, and provide options which meet the unique needs of each individual and family. To meet those goals, Dr. Tillemans provides extra time conducting psychiatric evaluations and medication management sessions to avoid the all too typical rush of doctor appointments and the common refrain of “the doctor only spent 5-10 minutes with me, how do they even know me or what I need!” Dr. Tillemans has worked closely with our clinic to create a model in which these common limitations can be avoided and a comfortable experience to meet the needs of the client can be achieved. We are proud to have Dr. Tillemans join our team in collaborating with our therapists to provide the highest level of care possible for our clients.
